Description

This 18650 Battery Replacement Wrap is heat-shrink tubing designed to replace the damaged outer insulation on a standard 18650 rechargeable battery cell.

If the original battery wrap becomes torn, nicked, peeled, or otherwise damaged, exposed metal on the battery can create a short-circuit risk. Replacing the damaged wrap helps restore the battery’s insulating outer covering.

Basically, if you can see metal where there should be plastic, that battery should not be wandering around pretending everything is fine.

Intended Use

Important Battery Safety

Replacement wrap is appropriate for damaged insulation only. It does not repair a battery that is:
